No series production before the sample is approved.
A new size or a new film structure starts as a sample run. We measure gauge, tensile strength and ink adhesion, and show you the numbers.

Five steps
The sampling process
A pack has one job: protect what is inside and carry it. Doing that with the least material is our job. So on every new enquiry we measure first and discuss afterwards.
- 01
Enquiry
We go through what the pack must carry, how it is filled and the shelf life you are targeting. More often than not the requested gauge and the required gauge are not the same number.
- 02
Structure
We settle which resins and how many layers. Where a barrier is needed, lamination comes in.
- 03
Sample
We run a small sample batch and measure gauge, tensile strength and ink adhesion.
- 04
Trial
The sample runs on your own filling line. That is the real test: does it feed cleanly, do the seals hold?
- 05
Approval
If the result is right we lock the specification and move to series production. The approved values are written into the order file.
What we measure
- Gauge (microns) — continuously on the line, point by point on the sample.
- Tensile strength — how far the film stretches before it breaks.
- Seal strength — whether the base holds once the pack is filled.
- Ink adhesion — whether the print lifts in a tape test.
- Handle strength — reinforced bags loaded and hung.
How long does it take?
For standard sizes a sample is ready within a few working days. Where a new resin blend is needed, material sourcing can extend that — in which case we tell you the date up front. We would rather give a realistic date than an optimistic one.
Confidentiality
Customer-specific structures and artwork are never used for another account. Plates and design files are kept with the order file and are returned or destroyed on request.
