Personal Data Protection Notice

1. Data controller

Under Turkish Law no. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (“KVKK”), your personal data is processed by AY Plastik Ambalaj San. ve Tic. (“the Company”) acting as data controller, within the scope described below.

2. Categories of data processed

When you contact us through this website, only the data you send is processed. The site uses no analytics software, advertising tags or tracking tools.

Identity data: first name, surname.
Contact data: e-mail address, telephone number, company name and title.
Enquiry data: the content of your quotation, sample or job application message.
CV data: the information contained in a CV you choose to send us.

3. Purposes of processing

Responding to quotation, sample and information requests.
Conducting pre-contractual discussions and contract processes.
Answering questions about our products and services.
Assessing job applications and running recruitment processes.
Meeting legal obligations and keeping commercial records.

4. Legal basis and collection method

Your data is collected through the e-mail message opened by the contact/quotation form, through e-mail you send directly, and through telephone conversations — by means that are wholly or partly non-automated. Processing relies on the following grounds in Article 5 of the KVKK:

Direct relation to the conclusion or performance of a contract (Art. 5/2-c).
Necessity for the controller to fulfil a legal obligation (Art. 5/2-ç).
Legitimate interests of the controller, provided this does not harm your fundamental rights and freedoms (Art. 5/2-f).
In all other cases, your explicit consent (Art. 5/1).

5. Transfers

As a rule your data is not transferred to third parties. It may be shared only with legally authorised public authorities, courts and enforcement offices, and with our e-mail and hosting providers, within the conditions of Articles 8 and 9 of the KVKK and limited to the stated purposes.

6. Retention period

Data is kept for as long as the purpose requires and for the limitation and retention periods set by applicable legislation. Quotation and sample correspondence is retained from the end of the commercial relationship, and job applications from the application date, for a reasonable period, after which the data is erased, destroyed or anonymised.

7. Your rights as a data subject

Under Article 11 of the KVKK you may apply to the controller and exercise the following rights:

To learn whether your personal data is being processed.
To request information if it has been processed.
To learn the purpose of processing and whether the data is used accordingly.
To know the third parties, domestic or abroad, to whom the data is transferred.
To request correction where the data is incomplete or inaccurate.
To request erasure or destruction under the conditions of Article 7 of the KVKK.
To request that correction, erasure or destruction be notified to third parties to whom the data was transferred.
To object to an adverse outcome arising solely from automated analysis of the data.
To claim compensation for damage suffered as a result of unlawful processing.

8. How to apply

You may submit your requests, together with documents verifying your identity, in writing to the address above or by e-mail to info@ayplastik.com. Your application will be concluded free of charge as soon as possible and within thirty days at the latest. Where the process incurs an additional cost, the tariff set by the Personal Data Protection Board may be applied.
